Thank you for visiting us here at the Broadmoor Police Department.  The Broadmoor community was established December 21, 1948 to provide service to the unincorporated Colma area in San Mateo County. To this day strives to be one of the last Police Protection District in the state of California.  Currently the police department has 8 authorized fully sworn officers, a Police Chief, Commander of Police, Sergeant of Police and an abundance part-time officers.

Our department and its members are committed to the safety and well being of the Broadmoor Community.  We are a department that is dedicated to service. The level of commitment put forth by our officers is the continued commitment that makes living in Broadmoor so unique.

BROADMOOR POLICE COMMISSION

The Broadmoor Police Commission has regular meetings every month on the second Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. All meetings are by law open to the public, and the Commission complies meticulously with the law. The only exception to the open meeting law is certain agenda items, e.g., personnel, litigation, threatened litigation, etc., which are handled in executive (closed) session where the meeting only to that extent is not open to the public. Occasionally, the Commission will hold special meetings.

Notices of those meetings are by required by law to be posted and are posted in the locations listed below. Such special meetings are also open to the public except to the extent one or more of the issues discuss enumerated above is on the agenda, in which event those topics, and only those topics, would be discussed in closed session.
